After our original flight was cancelled due to poor weather in the South, we finally got on a flight the following day.

We were totally stressed because the safari dates CAN NOT be changed.... Unless you have an awesome travel agent at Imagine Africa named Harry!

5 days in the bush on safari wasn't enough!  We should have traded a couple days in Cape Town for 2 more safari days.

This was the trip of a life-time.  We all want to go back.  Too bad it's so darn expensive to go there.  Don't  get me wrong, it was 5 star, no 10 star all the way, but you've got to consider finances right?

We saw 4 of the BIG 5. The Big 5 are the lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and cape buffalo.  We missed out on the leopard.  I guess we may have to go back.

It blows my mind that there is a place out there with wild animals roaming around.  There is no vet, and nobody feeding them dinner.  They find their own food or die.  Simple enough.

It also occurred to me, the most animals in the wild don't die of old age.  None of them are passing peacefully in their sleep.  They are hunted until they become to old to run away, and then they are eaten.  That's crazy to me!

We had a bit of an adventure after vising the Cape of Good Hope.  That's the most Southwestern tip of the African continent.  It's where the Indian and South Atlantic come together.  You can actually see the different colors of the water due to salinity.  Anyhow, a city bus caught fire in front of us on the highway.  We were stuck there for 2 hours.  A wheel actually exploded off the bus, and came rolling towards our car, FAST. It hit the car in front of us, and did some serious damage.  Very scary indeed.

Also on our first night in Cape Town, Hal got crazy sick.  Fever, delusional, etc...  We thought he had African Tick Bite Fever.  But after popping some high power antibotics and tylenol, he was good as used in 10 hours.
